3 data laws (Personal Information Protection Act, Information and Communications Network Act, Credit Information Act) amended (enforced on August 5, 2020) to establish a personal information protection control tower and lay the groundwork for vitalizing the data economy.
Since the enactment of the Personal Information Protection Act, it is the first government proposal to reflect the opinions of the private/governmental/industry/academic circles, and prepares a legal foundation to lead the digital transformation based on public trust.
The revision of the Personal Information Protection Act will drive the growth of the digital economy, strengthen the peoples active rights suitable for the digital era, and prepare legal systems that meet global standards.
